Before the custom home design and build process can begin Metz Builders first needs to understand the location of where the home will be constructed. We will consider its topography, zoning, setback requirements, easements and utility availability. In addition, if it's on a hill we will need to know if it will require an engineered foundation system, and so forth. The location of the lot can have an impact on the size and design features of the home.

This is the phase of the custom home building process where we explore ideas for the design of your new home in accordance with your budget. Do you want a large eating area for entertaining guests and family? An inviting open floor plan? A private nook for you to relax and enjoy the view, or a good book and a cup of coffee? We will take your final design decisions for your home and bring your dream closer to reality with our custom home designs utilizing the latest technology. We cover every aspect of your home layout and plan showing you room sizes, access points, hook-ups, plumbing, etc. We will provide you with an itemized cost for the construction of your new home based on our design or your own architectural drawings.
